Today's most talented and compelling musicians visit Musicians' Spotlight to "talk shop" and give you a deeper insight into their music. Host and producer John Floridis brings his own musical expertise along with over a decade and a half of experience conducting interviews.

Guests on the show have included legendary musicians like B.B King; Alison Krauss; Lyle Lovett; Wilco; Brandi Carlile; Daryl Jones of the Rolling Stones; The Cowboy Junkies; Richard Thompson; Mary Chapin Carpenter; Bruce Cockburn; Shawn Colvin; and Chris Hillman of the Byrds; along with talented Montana artists like Jeni Flemming, Tom Catmull, Martha Scanlan, John Dunnigan, Jenn Adams, Jack Gladstone and Eden Atwood.

  • Guitarist, singer/songwriter Peter Mulvey returns to Musician's Spotlight to visit with host John Floridis. The prolific recording artist has released two dozen recordings over his career and toured extensively around the world. Peter talks about his most recent projects with the duo SistaStrings as well as how he avoids "investigating" too closely where his songs come from.

  • Grammy Award nominated harpist and composer Brandee Younger joins host John Floridis by phone from Harlem to discuss her most recent recording "Unrest" inspired by the outpouring of concerns about social justice following the murder of George Floyd.
  • Oliver Wood of the Grammy-nominated Americana band The Wood Brothers returns to Musician's Spotlight to talk with host John Floridis about his first solo recording "Always Smilin'," as well as the most recent band recording "Kingdom In My Mind."
  • Assembled and led by Cuban vocalist José “Pepito” Gómez, Orquesta Akokán is a big band collective of the finest musicians on the island, both young and old. It features all-original music and was cut live to tape over a three-day session at Havana’s hallowed state-run Estudios Areito.
