Tester Hosting Thursday Rally With Veterans In Butte

Democratic U.S. Sen. Jon Tester will be rallying with a group of veterans Thursday in Butte.

Tester campaign spokesman Chris Meagher says Tester will talk about his voting history supporting Montana’s veterans and says his Republican opponent Matt Rosendale has voted against resources for the state’s veterans.

“You know, we think that the contrast in this race is clear between Senator Tester and Matt Rosendale especially in terms of what both of these guys have done for veterans,” Meagher said.

Meagher says Tester has supported allowing veterans to choose local doctors, along with bringing more specialists into VA hospitals and making it easier to fire VA employees who aren’t doing their jobs.

A group of veterans will be at the event to talk about the work Tester has done with the VA.

The event will take place at 11:30 a.m. at the Hotel Finlen in Butte.
