The National Trust for Historic Preservation recently released its listing of America's eleven "Most Endangered Historic Places".
"I think that is a dynamic of being human; at the same time we look back at the things which have meaning for us...but at the same time - because we are human - we want to press on."
It includes sites from Maine to Alaska, and Montana's
historic rural schoolhouses joined the list.
In this feature interview with Edward O'Brien, Montana Preservation Alliance director of Preservation and Sustainability, Patty Dean, talks about the listing's significance.
The 27-year-old Preservation Alliance works to document and save Montana's traditional building, landscapes and cultures.
