Starting May 7th, travelers will need a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license to board domestic flights or gain access to military bases and some federal buildings. Only 31 percent of Montanans have a REAL ID.

Experts say a return to steady growth will likely be the story of this year’s summer travel season in the state. Especially as airports across the state work to expand.

Gas prices in Montana have been keeping pace with declining nationwide averages for weeks. AAA spokesperson Julian Paredes says that trend appears likely to continue.
