Only about 2% of the clothes purchased in the United States were made in the country. Montana's clothing manufacturing industry is practically non-existent. Today on Can Do, we get to look inside the operations of a Montana-based activewear brand that is quickly making a name for itself as a unique and attractive clothing option.

When we last caught up with Youer founder and CEO Mallory Ottariano, it was March of 2019 and the company was then named KIND Apparel. In the span of ten years, Youer has grown from a start-up to a maturing company that is currently planning its own sustainable fashion manufacturing facility in Lolo, Montana. To understand this popular and uniquely personal brand of women’s activewear, you must get to know the woman behind it. Today on CAN DO, Ottariano will share her story. We’ll hear about what it takes to start a business during a pandemic, hold firmly to your company values, and make solid strides in a place without a substantial clothing manufacturing industry.

Arnie Sherman's experiences as an entrepreneur, trade negotiator, strategic advisor, college professor and as the host of podcast, radio and television programs give him a singular perspective on life and the business world.
