Helena man pleads guilty to possessing homemade bombs

Homemade bombs found by police during the 2022 arrest of Logan Pallister. The Montana US Attorney’s Office said the devices were examined by an explosives expert who deemed they were capable of exploding.

A Helena man pleaded guilty this week to possessing homemade bombs and an unregistered firearm silencer.

Logan Pallister was arrested in May 2022 after allegedly making threats to attack a Helena Public Schools building. Officers found firearms, ammunition and four suspected homemade bombs during the arrest.

A sentencing hearing is set for May in federal court in Great Falls. Pallister is facing up to 10 years in prison.
