Butte's ready for the party

Montana Folk Festival

Organizers are hoping for another huge turnout to the Montana Folk Festival which kicks off tomorrow. If they get their wish, over 100-thousand people will convene this weekend in Butte, America.

In this evening's feature interview, Edward O'Brien gets a festival preview with the executive director of Mainstreet Uptown Butte, George Everett, who says Butte is an ideal town to host such an event.

O’Brien first landed at Montana Public Radio three decades ago as a news intern while attending the University of Montana School of Journalism. His first career job out of school was covering the 1995 Montana Legislature. When the session wrapped up, O’Brien was fortunate enough to land a full-time position at the station as a general assignment reporter. Feel free to drop him a line at edward.obrien@umt.edu.
