Hi everyone! My name is Joan, and I’ll be hosting the Pea Green Boat on Thursdays (as MTPR seeks a new Children’s Program Director).
I have always enjoyed filling in for Annie, Marcia & Sam through the years, and I’m so excited to share songs and my favorite stories in the coming weeks.
Through the years I’ve hosted many music shows including City Lights, Night Flight and Oasis on MTPR, so many of you who listen in the evenings will recognize my voice.
I’ve been a big fan of The Pea Green Boat ever since discovering the show nearly 40 years ago, and I love having stories read to me while channeling my “inner child” (who really loves dancing around to silly, funny songs!). My dog Teddy especially enjoys hearing animal stories and songs about cats and dogs.
I love traveling, geology & rock-hounding, inspiring stories, and being a “life- long-learner”. During the summer, my inner-tube lives in my car for water adventures on our beautiful rivers, and in winter my ski gear takes over the back of my car. When I’m not at work, Teddy-dog keeps me company.
