Man Pleads Guilty To Sexual Abuse Of Glacier Park Coworker

A seasonal employee that worked for a private contractor in Glacier National Park last year has pleaded guilty to sexually abusing a coworker.

Eduardo Diaz was indicted for the July assault on two counts, aggravated sexual abuse and sexual abuse. Diaz pled guilty to the second charge last month and the U.S. Attorney’s office announced the plea deal Wednesday.

The charge comes with a maximum penalty of life in prison, a $250,000 fine and no less than five years of supervised release.

In the indictment from last fall, federal prosecutors say Diaz, while working for a private contractor in Glacier National Park, sexually assaulted an intoxicated coworker also living in employee housing. Prosecutors say the unnamed victim was unable to consent to the sexual act.
