The House has approved a proposal to eliminate $700 million in already-approved funding for public media. If enacted, it would strip essential services and could force rural stations off the air. The Senate will take up the bill next.

Justice officials meet to address impacts of violence on Native children

A federal Department of Justice advisory committee studying issues related to children's' exposure to violence in Native American or Alaska Native communities is meeting this week in Florida.
       Montana U.S. Attorney Michael Cotter is there to share details about a pilot project taking place among the Chippewa Cree Tribe on Eastern Montana's Rocky Boy Reservation.

In tonight's feature interview, Cotter and D-o-J's Administrator of the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, Robert Listenbee, discuss the scourge of violence on some tribal communities and what's being done about it.
