UPDATE: Johnson Fire growth prompts new evacuations in Ravalli County

Montana Public Radio wildfire news

The Johnson Fire burning three miles south of the Springer Memorial Community swelled to 3,810 acres over Labor Day weekend, prompting new evacuations.

Residents living on Little East Fork Road are under an evacuation order, meaning they must clear the area immediately. Residents of Frog Pond Basin are also under an evacuation order, due to the Daly Fire.

Dry, hot, windy conditions over the weekend fueled growth on the fire. Residents are advised to download the Ravalli County Sherriff's app for up-to-date evacuation notifications.
