Firefighters remain on scene at the roughly 300-acre Magpie Rock Fire. Located near Dixon on the Flathead Indian Reservation, the fire was 0% contained Tuesday morning.

The fire is suspected to be lightning-caused, and nearly 140 personnel are assigned to the incident. The fire was exhibiting active behavior, tribal officials said Tuesday morning, but no structures were considered at risk. Revais 6000 road between Revais and Magpie is closed, as is Magpie 5000 road.

The small town of Libby may also be dealing with fire. On Tuesday afternoon, the Montana DEQ said the town’s air quality had reached “unhealthy” levels. The localized spike in particulate concentration was possibly due to a small fire in Lincoln County.

The Kootenai Dispatch Center started an area smoke check the same afternoon.
