Man Dies In Glacier Park From Apparent Heart Attack

A Whitefish man died inside Glacier National Park Monday, apparently due to a heart attack.

A Park press release says that at 3 p.m. Monday rangers responded to a 911 call for an unconscious man just west of Lake MacDonald Lodge, he was a passenger in a car on Going-to-the-Sun Road.

The release says rangers, Three Rivers Ambulance, A.L.E.R.T. Air ambulance, and medically qualified bystanders administered CPR and other emergency medical treatment. The man was then declared dead on the scene.

The Park says the incident caused traffic to be restricted around the scene for three hours.
