Chad Dundas and Death in the West

This week’s guest is novelist, journalist and podcaster Chad Dundas. Chad earned his undergraduate and MFA degrees from the University of Montana and has published two acclaimed novels — "Champion of the World" and "The Blaze." He’s covered sports for prominent outlets such as ESPN, The Athletic, and the Associated Press.

In 2020, Chad and his brother Zack teamed up with another sibling pair, Erika and Leif Fredrickson, to produce Death in the West, a true crime podcast. In this conversation, we cover Chad’s path to writing for podcasts, the inception of Death in the West’s first season and its coverage on union organizer Frank Little, and their newly-released second season, featuring a broad look at the D.B. Cooper’s infamous skyjacking of 1972.
