A Saint Bernard like Saint Jacquard.

St. Bernard dogs are often pictured with kegs around their necks to signify their original breeding as rescuers of people crossing dangerous passes in the Alps. This story, written by Silas Warner, follows the life of Jacquard, a St. Bernard raised as a pet who follows his rescue instincts during the Nazi occupation of France during World War 2. It originally aired on the children's show, the Pea Green Boat in February, 2020.

Annie Garde is the Children's Program Director and host and producer of the Pea Green Boat and the Children's Corner.
