Combine a lifelong passion for food and improvisational music in just the right balance, and voilà, you serve up Second Set Bistro. Established in 2019, the Missoula, Montana restaurant is inspired by the creative improvisation of the second set of a music performance.

Second Set Bistro is the brainchild of husband and wife Matt "Raz" Schneider and Maddie Schneider. Before they opened the restaurant they bought and ran the Miners Saloon in tiny Cooke City, Montana with their friend Josh Snider and Chef Tom Standridge. In that isolated setting, the team honed their creative culinary skills and developed the concept for a new venture.

Learn more with Raz and Josh now. We discuss community-building through food, the locavore movement's impact in Montana, and constructing a successful business from scratch, right here on Can Do: Lessons from Savvy Montana Entrepreneurs.
