John Lenti's Ax? A Six-Foot-Long, Fourteen-Stringed Theorbo

Mar 29, 2018

The Seattle Times calls the music of John Lenti “a joy to behold,” while Gramphone praises Lenti’s playing of theorbo, lute, archlute, and baroque guitar for its “nuanced beauty and character.” He deploys his “uncommonly big sound” (Third Coast Digest) to acclaim as a soloist and chamber musician.

Lenti is affiliated with Seattle Baroque, Portland Baroque Orchestra, American Bach Soloists, Magnificat, Mercury Baroque, the Newberry Consort, the New World Symphony, and Seraphic Fire, among many others. Join host John Floridis for his visit with John Lenti at the corner of Theorbo & Lute Central.

(Broadcast: "Musician's Spotlight,"  12/14/17 and 3/29/18. Listen on the radio Thursdays, 7:30 p.m., or via podcast.)
