Krista Detor

Indiana-based pianist and singer-songwriter Krista Detor's latest recording and accompanying book were inspired by a chance trip on Michigan's Lake Huron with good friends and even better red wine. Detor describes that experience, as well finding herself the only American writer featured in a recent BBC production honoring the 200th anniversary of Charles Darwin's birth.

(Broadcast: "Musicians' Spotlight," 2/19/15 & 10/28/14. Listen weekly on Tuesdays, 1:30 p.m., or via podcast.)

John Floridis, the host and producer of Musician's Spotlight, has been with Montana Public Radio since 1997. He has interviewed over 200 musicians during that time. He is also an independent recording and performing artist in his own right and a former registered music therapist.
