A forecast issued by the National Weather Service Great Falls office on Oct. 8, 2022 calls for high winds with gusts up to 70 mph this weekend along the Rocky Mountain Front.

High winds are in the forecast this weekend east of Glacier National Park and along the Rocky Mountain Front.

The region could see southwest winds 35 to 45 miles per hour with gusts up to 70 miles per hour. The National Weather Service has a High Wind Watch in effect from late Saturday night through late Sunday night.

The agency says travel could be difficult during that time, especially for high profile vehicles.
