The Montana Baroque Music Festival begins July 21. Enjoy three baroque concerts in a beautiful setting, just steps from the Clark Fork River in Paradise, Montana. Artistic Director Adam Lamotte joins MTPR's Michael Marsolek to talk about the exceptional musicians and exciting performances at this year's festival.

Concert schedule:

July 21: Monica's Paradise: Bach and Mozart. Music of "Papa" Bach, such as his riveting A minor violin concerto, and some bubbly chamber music of Mozart.

July 22: From Offspring to Hot Spring: Bach's sons and their music. Matthias and Sophie bring us the lovely Adagio and Fugue of W.F. Bach, alongside "Papa" Bach's famous Concerto for 2 Violins.

July 23:  Mozart and Friends: Champagne for the ears! Music of Haydn, Mozart, and Devienne, a French contemporary. Joyous, delightful concertos and chamber music from this Rococo period!

Tickets for the Montana Baroque Music Festival are on sale now.

Tune in to MTPR Monday, July 20, at 8:00 p.m. for a special program featuring performers at this year's festival.

Michael Marsolek is the program director of Montana Public Radio. He also hosts Tuesday Freeforms and Thursday Morning Classics.
