Two MTPR student reporters have won Mark of Excellence Awards from the Society of Professional Journalists. Sean Robb is currently a student reporter at MTPR. Cheri Trusler is a former student reporter for MTPR and a UM School of Journalism graduate.
Trusler's story, Helping Seniors Recover At Home Saves Hospitals, Taxpayers Money, aired on MTPR, and took the top prize in the radio reporting category.
Robb was the winner in the Television General News Reporting category for a story on https://vimeo.com/147625513" target="_blank">UM professors studying sea spiders in Antarctica.
