A proposal to claw back funds for public media has already passed the House of Representatives. Montana Public Radio and stations across the country receive critical federal funds to strengthen our work. The Senate could vote on the proposal in the coming days. Dig This: Mike Mulligan And His Steam Shovel On 'Pea Green Boat'

Mike Mulligan and his Steam Shovel book cover.

Tune in to Pea Green Boat on Monday, September 14 at 4 p.m. to celebrate the beginning of fall and the end to the Missoula Public Library construction.

You'll hear Pam from the library reading Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel by Frances Burton and playing music by Grin Brigade, Sugar Free Allstars, Rebecca Frezza and more.

Annie will be on the boat the rest of the week. She'll be continuing with the great music and daily readings from My Side of the Mountain by Jean Craighead George, the story of a middle school boy who runs away from home and figures out how to live off the land. He raises a pet falcon and lives beside the other animals of the woods.

Listen this week on Pea Green Boat.
