Canceled: Get Your Voice On Montana Public Radio

Update: We've postponed these events until further notice out of concern for your health and the health of our employees.

We look forward to hearing from you later this year after we've rescheduled.

Here at Montana Public Radio, we want our airwaves to reflect the diverse listenership we serve across the state. This month, we're inviting listeners in the Flathead and in the Bitterroot Valley to rendezvous with former Morning Edition host Beau Baker, back from fishy circumstances in Alaska, to get your voice on MTPR.

Beau will be equipped with microphones and a mobile recording system to capture community voices. This is an opportunity for any listener of any age to share their vocal talents to voice a station ID or testimonial, or even take early sides in our upcoming annual Pet Wars. We also welcome couples, families and groups that want to record as a team or chorus. Beau will provide specific guidelines for volunteer voices at each gathering.

Show your support and get your voice on your public radio station!

Station ID: Identify yourself and where or how you listen to MTPR and read a prepared script of our call signs

Testimonial: Speak to your personal experience with MTPR and tell us how you value the station

Pet Wars vote: Weigh in on cats v. dogs, llamas v. goats, chickens v. lizards, etc. – tell us a personal pet story

Polson – Flathead listeners:
Saturday, March 14 in the North Lake County Public Library’s large meeting room

Hamilton – Bitterroot Valley listeners
Saturday, March 21 in the Bitterroot Public Library’s large meeting room

Beau is a former Morning Edition host and producer and engineer for the MTPR program "Capitol Talk." He worked as a reporter, and hosted Freeforms once a month.
