The House has approved a proposal to eliminate $700 million in already-approved funding for public media. If enacted, it would strip essential services and could force rural stations off the air. The Senate will take up the bill next.

Host and Producer

Terry Conrad is the host and producer of  Jazz Sessions, a program he began in 1973.  He was the co-founder of Montana Public Radio (along with Phil Hess) in 1973/74. He served as the station's Program Director from 1973-1995, and as Station Manager/Program Director from 1995-2001. He retired from his full-time gig in 2001, but has continued on as the host of Jazz Sessions. Terry received the Montana Governor's Award for Media Arts in 2008.
