String Orchestra of the Rockies with Adele Anthony

5/4/14: This week on "Front Row Center:" Michael Marsolek talks with Fern Glass Boyd, Artistic Director of the String Orchestra of the Rockies, about tonight's S.O.R. concert featuring violin soloist, Adele Anthony. It'll take place Sunday, May 4th, 2014, at 7:30pm in the Music Recital Hall in the School of Music at the University of Montana-Missoula. On the program:

Peter Sculthorpe’s Little Suite for Strings W. 169;

Johann Stamitz’s “Mannheim” Symphony in A Major;

Handel’s Concerto Grosso Opus 6, No. 1;

Eric Ewazen’s Concerto for Violin and Strings, featuring Adele Anthony;

and Gustavus Holst’s St. Paul Suite, in which Ms. Anthony will join the orchestra.

Beth Anne Austein has been spinning tunes on the air (The Folk Show, Dancing With Tradition, Freeforms), as well as recording, editing and mixing audio for Montana Public Radio and Montana PBS, since the Clinton Administration.
