Missoula Symphony Orchestra and Chorale broadcast, Sunday, March 23rd, 7:00pm

3/23/14: Join host Marguerite Munsche Sunday evening for a broadcast of the fourth concert in the 2013-2014 season of the Missoula Symphony Orchestra and Chorale, Darko Butorac, music director and conductor.

The program, titled "BAM! Beethoven," was recorded March 9th, 2014 in the Dennison Theatre at the University of Montana-Missoula, and featured guest pianist, Lisa Smirnova; six guest vocal soloists; and the Missoula Symphony Chorale, directed by Dean Peterson.


    Ludwig van Beethoven
        Egmont Overture;
        Piano Concerto No. 4, featuring Ms. Smirnova;
        Calm Sea & Prosperous Voyage, featuring the Chorale;
        “Prisoners' Chorus" and Mir ist so Wunderbar” from Fidelio, featuring vocal soloists and the Chorale;
        Choral Fantasy, featuring Ms. Smirnova, vocal soloists, and the Chorale.

Beth Anne Austein has been spinning tunes on the air (The Folk Show, Dancing With Tradition, Freeforms), as well as recording, editing and mixing audio for Montana Public Radio and Montana PBS, since the Clinton Administration.
