'ZooTown Klown' Threatens Missoula County Public Schools On Social Media

Missoula County Public Schools are telling parents that they’re collaborating with local police about a threat received via social media.

The school district says a Facebook account called The ZooTown Klown made a threat that something would happen this Friday, Oct. 7. The district says no details were given on the post and the account has since been taken down.

Missoula Police are not viewing this as a credible threat. Similar threats have been made in the Great Falls area and across the nation in recent days.

Missoula and Great Falls Police say, “In the absence of suspicious or unlawful behavior, there is nothing illegal about someone walking down the street, riding in a vehicle or hanging out at a public park dressed as a clown.”
