David Brooks has worn several journalistic hats over his career: reporter, editor, political and cultural commentator, and in recent years, best-selling author. Brooks presented this lecture, "The Cultural Revolution We Need,” on September 10th, 2018, at the Wilma Theater in Missoula, as part of the University of Montana’s President’s Lecture Series.
David Brooks is a columnist for The New York Times and a commentator on The PBS Newshour, NPR’s All Things Considered, and NBC’s Meet the Press. He is the author of Bobos In Paradise: The New Upper Class and How They Got There and The Social Animal: The Hidden Sources of Love, Character, and Achievement. His fourth and most recent book is The Road to Character. Brooks teaches at Yale University, and is a member of the American Academy of Arts & Sciences.
