Governor-Appointed Council Looks At Reducing Greenhouse Gases, Climate Change

A council appointed by Gov. Steve Bullock released a list of recommendations for the state to address climate change and reduce greenhouse gases Feb 11. The Climate Solutions Council consists of a diverse collection of stakeholders from different state agencies, energy utilities, and climate advocacy groups.

 

Alex Sakariassen, a Missoula-based freelance journalist, covered the council’s drafting process for Montana Free Press. He spoke with Yellowstone Public Radio News’ Kayla Desroches.

Kayla Desroches reports for Yellowstone Public Radio in Billings. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, and stayed in the city for college, where she hosted a radio show that featured serialized dramas like the Shadow and Suspense. In her pathway to full employment, she interned at WNYC in New York City and KTOO in Juneau, Alaska.
