Democrat Kathleen Williams’ campaign raised roughly double the amount of her Republican opponent Greg Gianforte since the start of the July. That’s according to initial campaign finance reports submitted by the campaigns Monday.

Williams raised just over $2 million from July through the end of September. That’s compared to just over $1 million raised by the Gianforte campaign over the same period.

While Williams outperformed Gianforte in fundraising this period, the incumbent Republican remains ahead of the Democrat in total money raised and spent this election cycle.

The reports filed today indicate Williams has more cash on hand left to spend heading into the final stretch of the U.S. House Race.

Libertarian Candidate Elinor Swanson has yet to file a report for this period.

Recent polls say the U.S. House race leans in favor of Gianforte.
