The remains of six veterans whose unclaimed remains were found at a Great Falls funeral home will be interred later this week.
They'll be laid to rest Friday at the Montana State Veterans Cemetery at Fort Harrison in Helena.
The "Missing in America Project" helps find deceased veterans who are eligible for a military funeral.
Montana Coordinator Marty Malone says every veteran who honorably served their country deserves no less.
"It's also important for those who are still living and are a part of the veteran family and for the active duty people to let them know that no matter what the circumstances are they will not be forgotten."
All six of the veterans whose remains will be buried Friday served in times of conflict; from World War 2 to Vietnam.
Friday's interment ceremony at Fort Harrison is scheduled to start at 3:00 p.m.
"It's absolutely open to the public. We'd encourage as many people to come out as possible. Again, it's not only a show of support for those who have passed, but it's for those who are still living as well," says Malone.
Since 2006, the Missing in America Project has located the remains of 145 veterans nationwide.
