Memorial Service Details For Bill Raoul

Marilyn Bruya

Earlier this week we told you aboutthe passing - the death (he HATED euphemisms) - of University of Montana Professor of Drama Emeritus, Bill Raoul.*

Thanks to our friends at the UM School of Theatre & Dance we can now pass along details of his memorial service:

"A public celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, September 4, at 7 p.m. in the Montana Theatre on the UM Campus.  A reception will follow in the lobby.  Donations in his memory may be made to the Mansfield Library, earmarked for the Bill Raoul Music Library.  These donations will be used to continue the cataloging of the collection. Checks should be mailed to the UM Foundation, P.O. Box 7159, Missoula, MT 57807-7159.You may make a gift online at SupportUM.org or by calling the foundation at 1-800-443-2593.  Please indicate that your gift is in memory of Bill Raoul."

Bill adored classical and opera. His collection of CDs and albums is immense and will one day be a terrific resource for faculty, staff and students.

Everyone's welcome to swing by next week to laugh (and maybe cry)  as the memory of a true one-of-a-kind character is celebrated and honored.

*One quick correction: we reported Bill was 76-years-old. He was 73. Apologies for the error.
