The University of Montana's Legal Counsel presented a campus lecture today examining Title IX's impact in America over the last four decades. Title IX states, in part:
"No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving federal financial assistance..."
The provision's had profound impacts on high school and collegiate athletic programs.
