Just as forecasters promised, hot temperatures have moved into the region. The National Weather Service says daytime temperatures will warm more than 30 degrees over the next several days - approaching 100 degrees in parts of Western Montana. The agency adds the upcoming heat wave will be one of the earliest recorded in the past 120 years.
The American Red Cross of Montana is seizing this opportunity to remind Montanans this weather event presents dangers since we haven't really had an opportunity to acclimate to warmer temperatures yet this summer.
