From July 19-21, historic Paradise, Montana will welcome back the supremely talented musicians of the Montana Baroque Music Festival. The intimate venue, Quinn’s Hot Spring Resort, will play host to the festival on the banks of the Clark Fork for its 13th iteration.
This event is a can’t-miss for history buffs. The finest concertos and sonatas from the 17th and 18th centuries, played on period instruments, at a hot springs site that has been visited by Native Americans for centuries. Concerts will begin each night at 7:00 p.m.
In addition to “usual superstars” Monica Hugget and Matthias Maute, festival organizers are particularly excited to welcome solo baroque trumpet powerhouse Kris Kwapis, founder of her own brass ensemble Spiritus Collective and collaborator with greats such as Masaaki Suzuki. Repertoire from Wassenaer to Vivaldi to Tomasini and more will be played over three exciting nights.
