Western Montana health departments begin rolling out vaccines for children

Health departments across western Montana are preparing to make COVID-19 vaccines available to kids 5-11 years old.

The health departments ofMissoula, Flathead,Lewis and Clark counties and theConfederated Salish and Kootenai Tribal health department say they will start offering vaccines to children in that age bracket next week.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended vaccines made by Pfizer-BioNTech for the age group on November 2.

COVID-19 vaccines at public health clinics or private pharmacies can be found at vaccines.gov.
