A story on athletic performance and endurance under extremely hot conditions may seem a bit incongruous given this deep freeze, but the Weather Channel is airing just such a piece this Sunday evening at 8:00.
The show, "Freaks of Nature" features the director of the Montana Center for Work Physiology and Exercise Metabolism at the University of Montana's Department of Health and Human Performance.
Brent Ruby and his team were asked to help monitor ultrarunner, Scott Jurek, under punishing conditions.
