Expert says U.S. right to threaten military intervention in Syria

International law expert Ved Nanda  says the U.S. cannot isolate itself from the rest of the world without risking its own security.

Nanda is a law professor and head of the Ved Nanda Center for International and Comparative Law at the University of Denver. He is also past president of the World Jurist Association, former U.S. delegate to the World Federation of the United Nations Association in Geneva, and is a council member for the American Bar Association Section of International Law.

Nanda was in Missoula recently to deliver the annual Browning lecture at the University of Montana's law school. He also sat down with News Director Sally Mauk to talk about the U.S. reaction to the use of chemical weapons in Syria - a use that violated interntional law.
