A new report finds a variety of birds are - and likely will be well into the future - facing significant climate-related challenges.
The National Wildlife Federation report, "Shifting Skies: Migratory Birds in a Warming World", warns of significant shrinking of ranges, flooding of coastal beaches and marshes and continued devastation of western pine forests by insects; all of which, the report concludes, could push some bird species to the point of extinction.
