Cellist Matt Haimovitz joined us today to talk about his upcoming performance, "Sweet" Italienne with the String Orchestra of the Rockies. That show is on Sunday, Sep. 20, 7:30 p.m. at the Music Recital Hall on the University of Montana campus. Tickets are still available.

Matt will also be giving a lecture/concert titled "The Changing Face of Classical Music"as part of The University of Montana's President's lecture series Friday, Sep. 18 at 8:00 p.m. in the Music Recital Hall on the UM campus.

Haimovitz is a musical pioneer who has initiated groundbreaking collaborations while maintaining a busy touring schedule and mentoring young cellists at McGill University’s Schulich School of Music in Montreal.
