A wildfire reported late this afternoon near Clinton doesn’t appear to be threatening any structures

On Saturday, the month-old Sheep Fire near Gibson reservoir west of Augusta flared up again.

On the north end of the Mission Mountains Wilderness there’s a 100-acre fire that fire managers was started by lightning from a storm a couple of weeks ago, but only grew big enough to be detected on Thursday.

Funeral services are scheduled Thursday for Jean A. Turnage, a former chief justice of the Montana Supreme Court.

A Montana City meat processor claims state livestock agents illegally searched his property after suspending his license in 2013.

Jury selection was scheduled to begin in Billings in the case of a Great Falls man charged in the death of a Cascade County sheriff's deputy in August 2014.
