On tonight's evening newscast: The question of an extended elk-hunting season has drawn so much feedback that Montana’s Fish, Wildlife and Parks Department has decided to give people more time to comment, and moved October’s Commission meeting to Helena, instead of Kalispell.

Crews are attacking several fires burning in Glacier National Park today.

Officials in Mineral County have released the name of a man who was shot at the county fair in Superior and the deputy who fired the shot.

Two grizzly bears have been captured at the scene of a fatal attack on a seasonal employee of Yellowstone National Park, and authorities say the animals could be euthanized if DNA tests determine they were involved.

A Great Falls man has pleaded not guilty to charges he poached two bull elk in southwestern Montana in 2012 and 2014.
