On this edition of Montana Morning Newscast, Governor Steve Bullock updated Glendive-area legislators on the response to Saturday’s pipeline break and oil spill into the Yellowstone River and under new proposed legislation Montana's governor could grant clemency to prisoners even if the parole board recommends against it.

A small airplane crashed into a Helena residential neighborhood yesterday afternoon, but nobody was killed and the Revett Mining Co. has announced it is closing a copper and silver mine in northwestern Montana.

Today at the Capitol, Montana legislators will hear two “sister bills" on education and Montana lawmakers are considering whether to approve a one-time only tax cut or a slight reduction across all income tax brackets.
