Missoula officials hope to break ground for a new emergency soup kitchen and homeless shelter this fall.

"The vast majority of our homeless are our neighbors who are just struggling and need a helping hand."

The current PoverelloCenteris no longer adequate to serve the average 100 men and women who stay there overnight. The new five million dollar center on West Broadway will offer both more room and more services. Executive Director Eran Fowler Pehan says they still need to raise 500-thousand dollars to reach their goal:
