A bakery intended to provide job training and fresh, healthy bread for both locals and food pantries across Montana is preparing to open in Livingston later this month. 


As Livingston grows, residents are trying to figure out if the community should focus on maintaining a small town feel, capturing more tourists on their way to Yellowstone National Park or providing cheap housing for Bozeman.

An organization that runs warming centers for people experiencing homelessness in Bozeman and Livingston says it needs thousands of dollars in community donations, or they may have to close their doors during winter.

The National Weather Service is predicting the heaviest snow will fall Wednesday morning, just in time for the morning commute and when children will be heading off to school.

The proposed Black Butte copper mine outside White Sulphur Springs is the topic of two public meetings coming up Monday and Tuesday.

Monday evening’s meeting is at Park High School in Livingston. On Tuesday it’s at White Sulphur Springs High. Both meetings start at 6 p.m.

HELENA, Mont. (AP) — The head of the state health department says child protection workers in Billings are facing "crisis level caseloads" leading the Division of Child and Family Services to decide to close its Livingston office and move that office's caseworker jobs to Billings.

Women and mothers interested in running for political office are getting together over the Memorial Day weekend in Livingston for training on how to run and become more civically engaged.

The group "Moms Clean Air Force," which advocates for conservation, clean air and children’s health issues, is holding what’s they’re calling a "Mama Summit" near Livingston.

Update: 9:25 p.m. 

New evacuations due to flooding have been ordered near Missoula tonight. According to a post from the Missoula County Sheriffs Office, "three homes on Harper’s Bridge Road are now under an evacuation order, while 10 additional homes on Harper’s Bridge Road have been put in evacuation warning. A road block has been established on Harper’s Bridge Road and Lavoie."
