An unfounded bomb threat led to the evacuation of Bigfork High School Monday morning. Students returned to class about an hour and a half after school officials received the threat.

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office says school officials received a short, non-detailed message around 7:30 a.m. alleging there was a bomb in Bigfork High School.

A missing Arizona man’s body was found in a Glacier National Park lake Tuesday.

The call came in Tuesday morning, "reporting that a member of their family was missing, that they thought that he might be in Glacier National Park," says Lauren Alley, spokesperson for the park.

Search and rescue teams are still looking for a man who went missing Saturday night after skiing into the backcountry outside of Whitefish Mountain Resort. The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office is coordinating the multi-agency search for 62-year-old Jonathan Torgerson of Columbia Falls.

Torgerson, a physician at North Valley Hospital in Whitefish, was reported overdue Saturday night after skiing alone just before a storm moved in carrying strong wind gusts and a foot of snow. He was believed to be skiing out-of-bounds in the Canyon Creek area off of Flower Point.

There’s breaking news about the threats that have kept nearly 16,000 students at 30 schools in the Flathead Valley out of class since Thursday.

Flathead County Sheriff Chuck Curry says, "We do want to re-assure the public that we have ruled out any sort of credible physical threat to our kids."

Flathead Valley schools will remain closed tomorrow due to an ongoing investigation into unspecified threats.

Just after 6 p.m. tonight Kalispell Superintendent Mark Flatau said all schools in the Flathead Valley will remain closed. That includes private schools.

KALISPELL, Mont. (AP) — A former U.S. Army soldier who suffered a traumatic brain injury from a bomb blast in Iraq was the victim of a recent officer-involved shooting in Kalispell, police said.
