Former President Bill Clinton is speaking in Billings Friday, campaigning for his wife, Hillary Clinton, before Montana’s primary election - just under three weeks away.  Bill Clinton is scheduled to speak at Will James Middle School at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 20.

An overflow crowd packed the Montana/Dakota’s BLM state office in Billings to speak on the federal coal program Tuesday. The agency is seeking comment on possible changes to make sure it’s obtaining the full economic value for the mining of federal coal. Comments ranged from whether the government is getting enough revenue, to climate change, to the "war on coal."

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks officials will hold five public hearings in August to find out if there’s a place for bison on the Montana landscape. The first two hearings are scheduled next week in Bozeman and Billings. Bison are managed both as a wildlife species, and for disease control because of brucellosis.
