As HRDC Collects Public Input, Affordable Housing Projects Move Forward
A non-profit organization that serves more than 12,000 people in southwest Montana is updating its community needs assessment. It helps determine which projects get the green light and affects how millions of dollars are allocated. Communities across Park, Gallatin and Meagher Counties identified affordable housing as one of the top priorities in the last assessment three years ago.
Schools in Belgrade, Montana were put under a shelter-in-place order today while law enforcement investigated a video threatening violence toward students.
Belgrade High School remained under the order until 4 p.m. A precautionary shelter-in-place order for Belgrade Middle School and Saddle Peak and Heck Quaw elementary schools was lifted at 3:30 p.m. and students were released at normal times.
MTPR reporters spent today talking to voters across western Montana. Nora Saks stopped by the Belgrade Events Center this afternoon where high school had just let out. Voting booths were set up in front of a trophy case and voters who had just cast their ballots shared what issues were on their mind.
