'Supergirl At Super Hero High': Logan Reviews

Penguin Random House

This is Logan, and I’m here to tell you about Supergirl at Super Hero High, the sequel to a previous book that I reviewed, Wonder Woman at Super Hero High. Both books are by the same author, Lisa Yee.

Supergirl at Super Hero High also takes place at Super Hero High, but this time the story tells us how Supergirl becomes a super hero. The book is third person limited, which means, as I said in a previous review, you only see inside one person’s thoughts. The book is exciting, funny, and VERY suspenseful.

In the beginning, Supergirl crashes on Earth. Superman’s foster family, the Kents, take her in, and she starts to develop her powers. Superman helps her through it, and she gets an idea of how to control her powers.  Later, she goes to Super Hero High and meets Wonder Woman, Poison Ivy, and other super heroes. Later, she and the others have to deal with an invasion that puts the whole world in danger.

I would recommend this book for second grade and up, or people interested in super heroes.

Logan H. Wilson is a 10-year-old boy from Missoula, Montana. He loves reading, of course, and is rarely seen without a book. His favorite authors include J.K. Rowling, Tolkien, Brian Jacques, and Christopher Paolini. The Eragon books are one of his favorite series. In addition to reading, he is a serious rock hound who likes looking for crystals and collecting interesting rocks.  He is also interested in art and chemistry. When he grows up, he wants to be an inorganic chemist who reviews books in his spare time.

She founded and previously hosted a weekly literary program, The Write Question, which continues to air on several public radio stations; it is also available online at PRX.org and MTPR.org.
