7/1/14: This week on "The Folk Show:" The first Tuesday of each month, from 2:06-3:05pm, the first hour of "The Folk Show" is Stan Howe's monthly program, featuring everything from up-and-coming Montana fiddlers to scratchy old 45rpm records, new releases to the occasional wax cylinder.

For July, Stan celebrates the start of his twentieth year on "The Folk Show," and he's celebrating with a musical road trip: "One More Ride," "Route 66," "Don't This Road Look Rough and Rocky," and the classic, "I've Been Everywhere."

Following Stan's show, from 3:05 - 4:00pm: O, Canada, we spin some discs for thee. Beth Anne salutes Canada Day by playing songs by as many Canadian artists as she can squeeze into fifty-five minutes.

Beth Anne Austein has been spinning tunes on the air (The Folk Show, Dancing With Tradition, Freeforms), as well as recording, editing and mixing audio for Montana Public Radio and Montana PBS, since the Clinton Administration. She’s jockeyed faders or "fixed it in post” for The Plant Detective; Listeners Bookstall; Fieldnotes; Musicians Spotlight; The Write Question; Storycorps; Selected Shorts; Bill Raoul’s music series; orchestral and chamber concerts; lecture series; news interviews; and outside producers’ programs about topics ranging from philosophy to ticks.
